Prince William and Kate Middleton in wedding mode

Prince William and Kate Middleton in wedding mode - Prince William and Kate Middleton have attended their first wedding since announcing their engagement in November.

She has attended countless ceremonies as Prince William's companion, but on Saturday Kate Middleton was all smiles as she appeared at her first wedding as a future royal bride.

The Prince and his fiancée joined Prince Harry and Princess Beatrice at the wedding of Sarah Louise Stourton and Harry Aubrey-Fletcher in Aldborough, North Yorks.

Prince William, who was an usher at the wedding, joined the groom and several friends for a traditional ushers' lunch at a local pub before the service.

Miss Middleton, who celebrates her 29th birthday on Sunday, arrived at St Andrew's Church looking chic in a black velvet coat, accessorised with a pillbox hat and purple suede shoes.

After the service, a vintage double-decker bus decorated with flowers escorted the wedding party from the church to the reception at Allerton Park, near Harrogate.

Prince William, 28, was enjoying a weekend off from duty at RAF Valley in Anglesey, North Wales, where he works as search and rescue helicopter pilot.

The Prince and Miss Middleton, who will marry at Westminster Abbey on April 29, announced further plans about their wedding last week.

Miss Middleton is to break with tradition by travelling to her wedding by car instead of ceremonial coach.

The couple will be married by Dr Rowan Williams, the Archbishop of Canterbury. The Dean of Westminster will conduct the service while the Rt Rev Richard Chartres, a close friend of the Prince of Wales, will give the address. ( telegraph.co.uk )
